A Stone Over the Institution <2018>
3 images different sizes

The artwork asks if the institution can carry a stone big enough that it even bends it and forms its shape. What is more essential for the institution, the artwork or its architecture? the work is bases on a previous work, flying stone/falling stone, and email exchanges with the management of the Palestinian Museum about removing the artwork in order to take a photo of the building. A Stone was fabricated with metal structure and paper. it was placed on the top of the Palestinian Museum as part of its inaugural exhibition "Jerusalem Lives". The work deals with the notion of the stone as a sacred object in Jerusalem for the Abrahamic religions. At the same time, thinking of its weight as something that is sitting on the building of cultural institution, wondering how the institution can deal with its weight.
