'Against Total Meaning’ comprises merchandise—sweaters, T-shirts, hoodies, caps, and bucket hats—each bearing part of a statement by the artist on the status quo, questioning the role of art in a time of genocide in Palestine. Posing ambivalently between commodity and artwork, each item is for sale, anticipating that parts of the statement will circulate in the everyday fabric of life.
Proceeds from sales of the artwork-cum-merchandise will be used to support cultural practices that have been working in solidarity with Palestine and don't produce artworks.
